Hi Iulian, I guess you checked all the basic stuff: source of noise, engine oil level, engine oil pressure (after the engine is at ideal temperature), engine oil consumption, correct cylinder firing sequence, etc.. You can also go by the process of elimination and change the oil again with whatever type you used before, even though chances are that the type of oil is not the real issue here. Also tell us if you changed the oil filter and the mileage of the car. It is also worth doing a compression test on all cylinders to see the status of your engine. To be honest I think that your hydraulic valve lifters need either adjusting or replacing. For that, even though according to my mechanic it is a simple procedure, I would suggest that you go to somebody who knows the V8. And in Romania that might not be the Audi dealership.
