Reged: 21/09/2005 Posts: 10 Loc: Århus, Denmark 92 V8 4,2 automatic, no 1-2 upshift below 3000 rpm       27/11/2006 10:50 Edit   Reply   Each time I start the car, it will not make 1st to 2nd shift, until the engine reaches approximately 3000 rpm, regardless of engine load. If I turn the S-E-M switch to the "M" position, the transmission immediately makes the upshift. After a couple of minutes of driving, everything is OK! I have changed the engine (because of very high oil consumption) and transmission, aswell as the Motronic and transmission control unit. The new (used) transmission acts exactly like the old one.
