Hi Everyone I have just saved a 1992 4.L motor v8 from the crusher. Sadly the car is a wreck. I have built from scratch a Zonda R replica, it was powered by a twin turbo Jag V12 from a 1980 XJS, however I got fed up with spending too much time on the engine and not enough finishing the car. The 1992 Audi V8 turned up yesterday and I set about removing the engine. What a nightmare! In 2 days I have got it stripped down, and ready to take out, just getting the headers off was a real chore What are you supposed to lift the engine with? It doesn't seem to have any lifting hooks Once its out, i will have to do a service, fit a 36-1 trigger wheel to the front pulley, source a flywheel..
Oh well the things we do
Cheers Nick
