Hi,
just for curiosity: Is your V8 the one in the attachment? Next time say hello three weeks earlier, that was the time when I was in Arles (or was it Avignon?) and drove by it... wondering why the hell it was standing around. First thought: Ignition point sensor. As usual.
And your problem sounds as well like the ignition point sensor. Even thought it's pretty new. Yes, usually they last for longer, but I have also got some which have been broken already on built-in.
You can test it when you cool the sensor down next time it doesn't start again. You can use cold water for it. It's just a matter of temperature.
The hall sensor isn't required to start the engine. You can just plug it off and it will start when the engine is cold (at least on the 4,2, I had an early 3,6 once where it didn't work - strange).
