Audi Germany logbook of service maintenance

Hello, can anybody please tell if it is correct that Audi Germany keeps a logbook of service maintenance performed by authorized Audi workshops? If so, how long do they keep them? My car was imported to Sweden from Germany some years ago and I really would like to know the service history.
