Grund ist der, dass Krümmer und Hosenrohr/X-Rohr so abgestimmt sind (sein sollten) dass durch den einen AbgasStoss der nächste Ausstoss quasi "mitgesogen" wird, infolge dessen bessere AbgasRäumung des Brennraumes, dadurch bessere Füllung durch Benzin/Luft-Gemisch, dann kommt der Rückstau der Pötte und Kats hinzu welcher dafür sorgt, dass auch wirklich die "richtigen" Resonanzen der GasSäule entstehen.. im Prinzip das umgekehrte vom Saugrohr, siehe Anhang... . so grob umrissen und ohne Gewähr...
