Out of curiosity-
I have 3 V8's
1990 3.6 Silver/Blue Audi rings only small on boot lid, large on Grill It has no other badges front or rear.
1991 3.6 Black Audi rings only small on boot lid, large on Grill It has no other badges front or rear.
1993 4.2 Lago Blue Audi rings small on boot lid, large on Grill Chrome V8 badge on front grill, right side Chrome V8 badge on boot lid, left side Chrome 'quattro' badge on bootlid, right side quattro rings in silver fade on door (is this correct)
I like minimal badging, but on the

93 100e quattro V6. Titan, i think

Hi Mark,
in addition, the models til '91 had a "quattro" typo integrated in the rear window heating elements. The badging of the 4.2 model seems correct, except for the "fading rings" decals, i guess they were originally meant for the Audi 90, Audi GT quattro models.
The "V8" badges on grill and boot lid meant for 4.2 models differ from those of the 3.6 version. The inner part is painted in "laser red".
So long,
Flo

That's curious. someone recently commented that the quattro badge was wrong on my 4.2, which I thought was correct, and which prompted my query.
cheers

Hi,
the quattro badge on the rear (right side) is original. The V8 we've imported from the UK had it as well.

...speaking of the quattro badge, there are different types. The right one for the V8 has a width of something like 11 cm. During the years of the V8 production, there were of course several other quattro models such as the 200 20V and also 100 C4 models. I don't know exactly which one it belonged to, there was a quattro logo 23 cm wide. Kind of fancy though, but surely looks way too big on the V8, in comparison to the rather small V8 on the other side..
