Something strange happend after changing key sylinder on the left door (driver side). The starter does not turn unless I pull out fuse #4.The fuse is for:Reading light, clock, luggage boot light,socket/front cigarette lighter, interior light, footwell lights,make-up mirror light,on-board-computer,anti-theft alarm, air conditioner controls, radio, power aerial, selector lever buzzer. After the engine has started I put in the fuse and everyting is ok until I stop the engine and try to start it again. There is something making a klicking noise (likewise a reley) for about 20 sec.after i open the door.It seem to be from over the glove box somewere. This did'nt happen before Ii changed the sylinder. Can this fault have something to do with the alarm system ? Please help,,

Hello!
Have you connect the micro-switch? Have you insert a Cylinder vor Cars with Anti-Theft-System? There are differences between the cylinders!
Perhaps a cable is broken in the door.

The sylinders was similar. There are no wires/leads connected to the sylinder. There is a micro switch on the door handle (door opener).I disassembled the main frame from the door to get some more space to change the sylinder.I may have damaged a lead or connection doing this.I will dismount the door panel and see if I can find the fault. Thanks,,

There is a indicator with a very small toothed wheel attached to the part that I was changing. This wheel must have been in the wrong posision when I mounted the new parts.Since the link between the key cylinder and the rod was broken I did't know and overlooked what posision it was in.The new part (link between cylinder and rod) I got from Audi was a improvement and made of steel, not aluminium alloy as the old one.The old and new parts wasn't similar, that is why I had to change the key cylinder also.Thank's,, and special thank's to Bastian Homburg.
