How many Audi V8 (D11) made

Hi,
I have tried to search for the total amount of V8's ever produced..without luck. Anyone knows this?

I'd like to know the source of Bastian P. The official data I have obtained from "VAG Geschäftsbericht" differ quite a bit:
1988 - 2331
1989 - 6918
1990 - 4816
1991 - 3126
1992 - 3031
1993 - 1439
1994 - 5016 (* For this year VAG mixed the production data of the A8 and the V8)
I'd like to know which one is more accurate.

Hi,
which "Geschäftsbericht" are you talking about?
The whole research of the production and export numbers took hundreds of hours and there are many, many different and partially inconsistent sources. I had a short look at the data and I think I've used 20+ different sources, some of which never were published.
All this discussion is a bit like the definition of "Vollausstattung". It's not possible, because there is no "correct" definition. What to count? SKDs? CKDs? Prototypes? A 200 with a V8 engine? A V8 with ASF?
