Re: audi v8 quattro

The V8 - like all Audis with longitudinally mounted engines since 1988 - uses the torsen system. Power delivery is split 50:50 between front and rear axle under normal conditions.

Haldex is only used in cars with transversally mounted engines that are derived from VW platforms (the A3/S3 essentially was and is a dressed-up Golf).

Re: audi v8 quattro

Audi v8 does not have haldex.

Automatic versions have planetary middle diff with electric clutch to vary the power distribution.

Manual versions have torsen middle diff.

Front diff is always open, rear is always torsen.

In A Audi V8.
